Saint Vincent de Paul (SVdP) was recently contacted by the parents of a child in our community in need of eye surgery to correct vision issues; the family does not have health insurance.
With the assistance of Edenton Lions Club, the child was seen by a specialist at the Virginia Pediatric Eye Care Center in Chesapeake. The surgeon confirmed the diagnosis and highlighted the urgency of the situation.
CHKD in Norfolk has provided an estimate for the surgery of $15,847.78.
We are reaching out to the community to help raise the necessary funds for the surgery to be performed.
